Push-up for the Brain Can Lead to a Genius Mind
Your amazing brain is considered the “new frontier” of scientific study. In “Push-Ups for the Brain,” Betty Rae will tap into one aspect of the brain’s potential—to go beyond the physical dimension into the abstract and wondrous world of the imagination. She will speak of the frontal or “Temporal Lobe” of the brain where the exploration of conscious thought can occur. No one has been able to test the parameters and possibilities of the brain’s full power. But with this workshop, you can discover your “Genius mind!”
Thoughts are elusive and difficult to analyze because they come fleetingly into the mind and dissipate just as quickly. Some say, “Thoughts are Things” with energy to create either fear or joy. The brain’s connection to the physical body through thoughts and emotions can affect your health. In exploring this concept in the workshop you will learn techniques for improving health and well-being.
In “Push-Ups for the Brain” you will learn of the 4 stages the brain goes through when you sleep. You will be shown how to go to that “sleep state” while you remain awake, allowing visions and ideas to form. In this sleep/awake state, called Alpha awareness, you can get answers to questions or concerns. At the Alpha brain level of mind, you can use more than the usual 10% of the brain’s potential, which is the usual extent of the majority of the human population.
Betty Rae refers to that Alpha level of mind as your “genius mind.” Whereas most people cannot think of one solution to a problem, people using this method can think of several. Edison was known to take short naps. When he awoke, he recalled his “dreams” and found in them solutions to problems in his experiments. Artists are well acquainted with this semi-trance state. Everyone has experienced a time when they “zoned out” while driving and when they came back, couldn’t remember what road they were on, or how they got to their destination so quickly.
This workshop gives you tools to access that creative state of mind at will.
Comments from participants:
“The group was so pleased with the workshop. Don said, ‘Betty is a great teacher.’ I have never attended a group session that Betty has conducted—only personal consultations. It [Push-Ups for the Brain) was awesome. It was so revealing and healing.” Jane Green, from Annapolis, Maryland
“I had some really good feedback from someone who took the workshop. She said, ‘I didn’t understand until towards the end and it all clicked.’ She said she wants to take it again because she felt so good afterward!” Kathy White, Bowie Senior Center Manager
