Creating a website was never in my plans when I sold my home in Michigan and “retired” from my “Rays of Joy Light Center.” I thought I could live quietly and play with my art. But my friend, Raphael, has had other ideas, which came in the form of a workshop that we called, “Push-up for the Brain.” As usual, I followed my inner guidance and to my amazement, the three-hour workshop became a popular class at the Bowie Senior Center and at my new church, Unity Center of Light. I was delighted.
Then along came Michelle Kulp who is a member of Unity in Bowie. Before I knew how sneaky Raphael could be, I was caught up in the whirlwind of designing this new website. Michelle now tells people, “If Betty Rae, at nearly eighty can learn to work a website, anyone can!” Talk about “Push-ups for the Bran!” I’m learning about blogs, PayPal, Audio Acrobat, Blue Host, A Weber, Keywords, Search Engine Optimization, and a multiple of new Geek words! But I am excited about being able to teach my “Push-ups for the Brain” online. I’m excited that I can give a consultation to anyone anywhere in the world through my website, and they can even get a recording of the reading. Wow! I can reach more people with Raphael’s wondrous words of wisdom.
As if creating a website were not enough, Raphael and I have completed our latest endeavor–“Now That Makes Sense!” This workbook on raising consciousness out of fear and doubt into love and trust is packed with new and old ideas presented in a practical day-to-day format for anyone to read. The guided meditations are especially powerful because they go beyond the usual kind of meditation where people close their eyes and get quiet within. This I call an “Open-eye Meditation” because it teaches you how to gain information from the meditation, which you would not otherwise know about. It teaches you how to open and balance the hemispheres of the brain so as to utilize more than the usual 10% of your brain’s power. This is what has made “Push-ups for the Brain” workshop so popular. And now anyone can do it through this wonderful new workbook or through an on-line course.
So, I ask you to bear with me as I learn a whole new world of technology. Raphael has said there are only two questions we will be asked when we die: “What new knowledge did you gain?” and “How well did you love?” Well, my brain will be packed with new knowledge–and I have loved every second of my life as Betty Rae!
